Recommendations for reducing the risk of infectious diseases
during fertility or pregnancy treatments
During treatments, but also after confirmation of pregnancy, we recommend increased precautions to avoid infections, given their potential to affect pregnancy. There is insufficient scientific information on how the new virus manifests itself and its effects
COVID-19 on pregnancy, but precautions should be taken to avoid any respiratory or direct transmission viruses.
General measures
• Avoid crowds and travel that is not absolutely necessary;
• Keep at least 1 meter away from people who cough or have other respiratory symptoms;
• Do not take medicines other than those prescribed or authorized by your doctor;
• Use a protective mask only if you suspect you are ill or if
who come in contact with sick people;
• If you have a fever, cough and have difficulty breathing, isolate yourself and tell your doctor;
Personal and environmental hygiene measures
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially after contact with other people,
returning home, using the toilet or common objects;
• Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands;
• When sneezing or coughing, cover your mouth and nose with the bend of your elbow or napkin;
• Clean work or home surfaces with chlorine or alcohol based disinfectants;
During treatments or appointments in the clinic
• Notify us by email at 0727 Gynera (0727 496 372) or by email if you cough, you have
fever or other respiratory symptoms during treatment or before an appointment in
clinic; we will contact you to find together the best solutions in your situation
• To reduce congestion, come to the clinic appointments no later than 15 minutes before
scheduled time and unaccompanied by persons not directly involved
• Keep your distance from people around you when possible;
• When sneezing or coughing, cover your mouth and nose with the bend of your elbow or napkin;
• Wash with soap and water and use hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit of the clinic,
as well as whenever the situation requires it
