Recommendations after reproductive procedures

After taking oocytes
  • Do not drive on the day of surgery if you have had anesthesia
  • Do not perform activities that require concentration on the day of the intervention
  • You can resume hydration after 30-60 minutes
  • You can eat after 2 hours if you have no symptoms (dizziness, nausea)
  • Don’t worry if small vaginal bleeding occurs in the first 48 hours
  • You can take regular sedatives if you have abdominal cramps
  • Contact us if you have a fever, pain or heavy bleeding
  • Adhere to the prescribed treatment plan and medication
  • You can go to work and resume physical activity the next day
  • Avoid sexual intercourse for 48-72 hours
After embryo transfer or intrauterine insemination
  • Continue medication prescribed by your doctor
  • You can administer without medical advice:
  • Paracetamol for fighting fever, headaches, colds
  • NoSpa / Scobutil / Oral or intrarectal Uscosin to combat pain
  • For other medicines, ask your doctor’s permission in advance
  • Avoid excessive effort – aerobics, weightlifting, jumping
  • Avoid excess temperature and dehydration – sauna, jacuzzi, uncontrolled diets
  • Avoid sunbathing or sunbathing
  • Avoid prolonged rest; lack of activities increases the risk of complications
  • Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess coffee
  • Hydrate yourself
  • You can resume sexual activity
  • You can travel and go to work
  • Spend your time with pleasant activities to reduce the stress of waiting
After surgical collection of sperm
  • Do not drive on the day of surgery if you have had anesthesia
  • Do not perform activities that require concentration on the day of the intervention
  • You can resume hydration after 30-60 minutes
  • You can eat after 3-4 hours if you have no symptoms (dizziness, nausea)
  • Maintain an ice pack locally, in 30-40 minute rounds, with one-hour breaks
  • Maintain the dressing for 24 hours
  • You can take a shower without dressing the next day
  • You can go to work and resume physical activity the next day
  • Don’t worry if there is swelling or discomfort in the genital area
  • Administer soothing anti-inflammatory medication as needed
  • Contact us if you have a fever, pain or heavy bleeding
  • Avoid sexual intercourse for the next 7 days
  • Schedule a checkup after 14-21 days
  • The sutures will be removed at this check if they have not been resorbed
