To minimize risks in these cases and to maximize the chances of a successful pregnancy, we highly recommend using donated oocytes. Donor oocytes are fertilized in the lab, and the best embryo is transferred to the uterus, with the remaining embryos cryopreserved for future use.

It is also helpful for couples dealing with hereditary genetic conditions. Under these conditions, using donated sperm can alleviate potential frustrations and help expedite the journey to parenthood. Depending on the health condition, fertilization may be done through artificial insemination (AI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The sperm donor can be a known individual, such as a relative or friend, or an anonymous donor with the sample obtained from a sperm bank. Sperm donation is voluntary and free, in compliance with European regulations.
